UPDATE, BEX. UPDATE.

It seems only pure, undiluted fangirlish glee can inspire me enough to post on LJ at the moment, hence the somewhat running theme of my last few entries. LJ's just been a bit, I don't know, blah. Which it shouldn't be, what with its 10th birthday an' all. Maybe I was a bit blah on my 10th (actually, I was a bit *hormonal* what with mother nature giving me a really inappropriate gift. Anyway).

Well, I think you may have gathered that I rather enjoyed Red Dwarf's ressurrection. The first part was decidedly weird but then I've always been creeped out by the lack of laughter track when it comes to RD. By part two, it didn't matter, it was full steam ahead. Although how much sense did it make to those who haven't seen Blade Runner (and if you haven't, SEE IT. NOW. I INSIST. COME BACK LATER.) I don't know. Thankfully I wrote a paper on it in my first year (fittingly, I wrote one on RD in my last year!) so the million references didn't pass me by. But I'll stand by the bottom of our stairs and eat a barncake if I didn't sit through the whole thing with a grin! Now, where's that series?

In similar fangirl news, ROBERT'S GOING TO BE IN EMMA!* Oh much yayness, a costume drama has finally happened for him. Also loved his little foray back on to My Family last week, although am dismayed the production team couldn't come up with an excuse for interesting outfits this time round. That's probably because Bobbeh Lindsay was busy wearing them!

* I apologise to [info]mysticheaven  for any confusion caused. And maybe I ought to take the batteries out of the smut alarm.

...See, Hyperdrive - *that's* how you do it.

Although that CGI and trendy camera work made me nautious. It's not like they didn't have some rubber tenticles/testicles they could have used! But apart from that it was classic Red Dwarf - almost like everyone had been revising! Even Rimsy.

And now there's two holograms to fancy!

(that's how one should dress to celebrate the occasion).

There's not much more I can say about RED DWARF OMG NEW RED DWARF  that hasn't already been said, other than I finally see a picture of Chris with a glimpse of costume (and hear that Simon Gregson *may* be involved in the specials....!) and... well, it's very hard trying not to wet oneself in complete and absolute fannish excitement.

Either that or I have just dreamt the entire thing. It's hard to tell.

... Whoa, it's been a *week* since I've last checked my Flist? That won't do. Especially as I've just had to epically catch up with it. Sorry. And I see LJ has ended me userpic priv-il-ledges while I was away from it, wah. 37 doesn't seem like enough, even though it should be. Especially next to 6. Or 3 - remember that?

I've not been away from the internets, funnily enough, just Very Very Busy. Partly with Your Actual Writing, partly with some...erm....drama.... at the weekend which was hopefully just a temporary glitch in life, and mostly with fandom stuff, in fact. In between working on a fanvid, I've got my paws on a copy of A Breed of Heroes, which is great for playing "OMG WHERE HAVE I SEEN THEM BEFORE?" with. I might post more on that in the future. And also, the new Sparks album, which I adore. And, big letters, wait for it:

ACTUAL RED DWARF GOSSIP, SIR.

Which is amazing. It's only took 10 years. I thought they should stop faffing about with a movie and get on with a special and looks like that may be happening once the cast stop getting arresting, LOLZ.

It's not all completely bad. To bring some much needed joy in my life I've been in Brighton (it's nice. Smells like Manchester. But not as decorated as Blackpool and got more dodgy types on the streets) doing my 9 year old self a favour and finally seeing Holly and Hilly. And they've got legs and shoulders and everything! In other words, I saw Norman Lovett and Hattie Hayridge starting their slightly-Dwarf-flavoured stand up tour.

It's called the Double Header tour, check it out

YaaaaaaaaWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWnnnnnNNNNNNNNN. Tonight is very lame. MSN could do with a broom for the tumbleweed and just because it's almost 4am, it does not mean I'm going to bed. I'm too bored for bed, if there was ever such a thing.
A quick round up of nothingness:

1. TEH HUGH GRANTS LEGS.
Sorry, was watching Four Weddings. Ah, <3. MORE IMPORTANTLY, TEH HAIR.And I'm still in love with Scarlet, although she'll have to come second to HUGH GRANT'S HAIR, I'm afraid.

2. I thought Orpington would be rather posh when I first moved down here. Haha. Hahaha. HAHAHAHAHA. Deluded naive Northern foole. The high street has a very high chav count. What brings me onto this point in the first place though, is the chavvy family taking up half of Claires* today. In the way of the displays. Two of them were sat ON THE FLOOR. And they took forever. I was trying to give them a polite but stern look that conveyed 'Get off the floor and out of the shops, you are an obstacle between me and the earmuffs'. Failed.

3. Thanks to Facebook**, I've just found out that two separate loves of my life (alright, unrequited crushes. School. You know how it is. Or maybe you don't.) from different places have not only met, they are in fact cousins. WEIRD. They're completely and utterly different. One's butch, the other's camp as a row of tents for starters. WEIRD. How did I not know this before? Mind you, my first boyfriend and best friend at the time were cousins and told me belatedly. Crafty cousins

4. The Red Dwarf Speshul DVD thing release date has been put back, it seems. To the 12th. My birthday? Rly? TIMING = VERY SEXY.

* As in Claire's Accessories. I wish they hadn't cut their name, it causes so much confusion, the rotters.

** http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=505563422 if somehow you want to know and don't already. Friend me if you're so inclined, as you can see I'm not terribly popular.

And without further ado, Kingdom screen caps! Featuring Bobbeh2 in a dress, Stephen Fry being Lovely, and a surprise Red Dwarf guest.

How do you like your spoilers? I don't think this is too spoilery, but tread carefully. I mean, Kingdom's not entirely unpredictable anyway but that's what makes it so *reassuring*. Oh, get on with it. )

EDIT: Forgot to add there are more pics in my phoo'tobucket. D'oh.

And a Hair Update. I dyed it again yesterday just because.

Before, with my Ginger Spice tribute, and after with Becky's Crazy Wig Hair. Yeah, definitely pink now. Argh, my face. Anyway, speaking of that jacket on the right...

Look familiar to anyone? It is quite genuine.

Bobbeh2 and Bobbeh Lindsay manhandling one another? Silk pyjamas? Bobbeh Lindsay trying to remove them? Caught in an uncompromising position by the Psychiatrist from Red Dwarf (no chairs screwed down here at all)? Absolutely high level of unintended slash? DED, I TELLS YE.

Aha, some good news! Yes. Will be going to see That Play With the Smutty Title again on Saturday. Oh yes.

That and being invited to meet Robert afterwards for another drink.

Squuuuuueeeeeee.

Look, I promised I'd squee quietly. And there's obviously no point squeeing loudly on MSN given that everyone seems to have deserted it completely! 'SUP? Did you all see me coming (shh, smut) and run before I had chance to deafen you or something? Just look at the tumbleweed on it this week. Where are you all these days? Tell me about these lives you're living (or indeed 'luving' if my typo's anything to go by)!

1) Why didn't I know anything about Microsoft Narrator before? It's *perfect* for unintentional comedy. Imagine Bobbehfic being read by Stephen Hawking, for a start.

2) Speaking of Bobbehs, Robert on Loose Women (no, not *on* them) yesterday did *not* disappoint. But check out the flattery-o-meter! 'Dashing', 'devilishly handsome', 'suave', 'smooth', and even 'posh totty' - all check. He just looked embarrassed. Bless. And HAI RARE GLASSES MOMENT.

3) Having said that, yesterday was rather reminiscent of Lister watching that crap video ("I KNOW CAROL, DR BROWN TOLD ME EVERYTHING!") in Red Dwarf. There's five minutes of that interview I've still yet to hear because everytime I try someone wants me for something. I'll hastily add that I do not have Lister's viewing habits.

4) Where's my Ebay item? Don't wish to be impatient but I'm moooooovvvving, I'll need it very soon! In fact, WHERE'S THE POST IN GENERAL. WHERE HAS THE MAIL BEEN FOR THE LAST SIX DAYS? WHY DON'T WE HAVE ANY?

5) But...... Craig, I GOT MY BOOTS <3. MUCH THANKS ARE IN ORDER. They are, alas, slightly on the big side but then it is a casualty I face everyday being a size 5 1/2. Daft shoe size that it is.

Reasons to be cheerful (1,2,3 - Yes, thank you, Mr Dury)

1 - Dad has been away for four days. I can't even remember the last time he ever stayed anywhere, but believe me the entire arrangement is this: excellent. PARTEH. We're talking mega-ecstasy bliss! I can hum as loud as I like, as long as I like. And you see those socks? See 'em? They're going right where they belong, all over the floor, where any self-respecting bachelor would keep 'em. I can have the bottom bunk, the big bunk! I'm gonna leave the top of the shampoo off! I'm going to squeeze the toothpaste right from the middle! In fact, I'm gonna do all the things that drove him bonkers! I'm gonna crack me knuckles! I'm gonna grind me teeth! I'm gonna live for a change!
No, my socks are nothing like Lister's. Still, I have been on Teh Net in the wee small hours which my body clock finds much more satisfactory. Except no one's online on my last night of freedom. Drat.

2- Anyway, Even Better Than That. I HAVE A DATE. LOLZ, not quite that kind of date. But then it does involve the legends that are Moffat and Bathurst so TO ME IT IS. Next month. I shall be seeing them next month just after my birthday. This is so good it's reason number three, it takes up TWO WHOLE REASONS, that's how good it is. I have imploded.

Will someone please pleeeeeeeeeeeese Paul pass a law against my parents giving me career advice? Unsolicited advice that I never asked for? Mum's in the same job she got for convenience when pregnant at 21 (with me, alas) having never got around to being a teacher or a writer or whatever it was, and my Dad's got fired from most of his jobs. It feels like taking housing advice from a tramp.

MUM: There's a receptionist job going at the spa.
ME: I hated being a receptionist with every fibre of my being.
MUM: You should ring the number then. It's on the advert.
ME: ....You're not listening, are you?

Oh dear oh dear. Experience tells me that I should ignore every piece of advice parents give you, s'better that way. Like, reverse psychology.

In lighter news, I've been watching House of Eliott. Hold that sentence, it sounds amusing. Well, fashion darling! Actually, it's good for playing Spot the BBC Who's Who From My Fandoms again.

And finally, because I actually filled one in for once, from [info]mysticheaven:
Fill this out, post it in a comment to this entry, and then put it on your own journal for others to complete:

Voila. Or 'viola' as I first typed.

I'm better now. Honest. Now I've got what appears to be a sermon off my chest. WTF, Beckeh?

Anyways, I've been quizzing. There's this rather nifty one:

You see that? The 80s *Are* my life. Except that's not entirely true because I recall 1990-1992 certainly being part of it, jolly good era that.

And then the BBC offered me a challenge I couldn't refuse and told me this.
And I should think so, Aunty Beeb, seeming as I'm now the Official Number One Fan! But you may want to sort out your spelling there. I am not a fount, surely.
The Red Dwarf question tripped me up somewhat though, because I'm *sure* he's said Lister. But then it was the same with Alan Rickman, he was auditioning for *everyone*.

There is some more Diner fic in the pipeline, albeit with some difficulty writing a certain celebrity guest, but for now teh interactive meme if you like:

Give the name of 1-3 things you'd like to see on my computer. It can be anything: My Documents, My Bookmarks...it's up to you! I'll take a screen shot and post them here.

I don't why I'm doing this, especially given the state my Puter's in after The Great Graham NortonAntiVirus Deleting Disaster of 2006. But hey.

And finally, the fact that Doctor Who's Abzorbaloff has a Bolton accent = <3. Peter Kay and Mark Warren were wonderful (ah, ELO). The Doctor and Rose were bloody hopeless. S'up?

...Anyone on the old F'List ever used the National Express (*refrains from singing Divine Comedy song for the millionth time*)?

I'm seeing what I can do about about going and seeing Robert Bathurst doing the West End thang, and it looks like it's the coach for me if I want to go to London. I don't want to take out a small loan just to use the GOLD!train and planes seem a bit unneccessary for this 'un. Other than this, I'm just being overwhelmed because my organisational skills suck somewhat. If anyone else fancies going let me know, because otherwise I'm assuming I'll do it a la ownsome.

It is somewhat scary, I've never even been to London before, with the exception of Wembley (Yes, I've seen Madonna and everything). I live a very sheltered life. It's all very tragic, I know. All the more reason for going and randomly taking a visit down there and seeing a play and everyfink. I've never quite got over the trauma of the Alan Rickman/Private Lives thing, and that's going back about 4 years ago now, which is why I'm definately more adamant about going this time.

And picked up from [info]xylona's way, ye olde Amusing Face Recognition from www.myheritage.com:

what *do* you look like? )

I got Alan Rickman with another photo, fnah. You look like those you fancy, apparently.
And it never fails to amuse me that it insists JK Rowling looks like Robert Bathurst.

Had a really odd dream last night where I was back at school (well, as a pupil obviously) and I was last in the class to finish a really horrible piece of work. Nice to see my school crush again but I wish the dream me would stop getting into trouble for once.
And the night before, I dreamt about Alternative Universe Red Dwarf. Series 4 for reasons I can't fanthom. It was alternative because Kochanski and Todhunter were in it as if they'd NEVER ACTAUALLY DIED.
